Since 1984 ROTRA has grown to a respected and trusted international freight forwarding partner with over 300 colleagues worldwide specializing in air and ocean transportation

1984
ROTRA is established as a corporation in the United States in Illinois.

1988
Ground is broken in June for the current site of ROTRA in Wood Dale, IL, which incorporates offices as well as a 30,000 square foot combined warehouse and distribution facility providing a bonded container freight station. Cool storage is also offered. One address, endless possibilities

1992
ROTRA opens an office in Stuttgart, Germany to support our growing client base in the area. This is a joint effort with our partner Interfracht.

1999
ROTRA Brokerage Services, Inc. (RBS) www.rbschi.com is established as ROTRA's in-house Customs broker. RBS is an ABI-certified customs broker -- an important facet of the service allowing instantaneous clearance status on freight and vital to expedient release and delivery of shipments.

ROTRA opens new offices in Sweden and The Netherlands. This will secure ourposition on the European market. Another venture with Interfracht.

2001
Rotrack PUSH, ROTRA's web-based tracking and tracing system is introduced enabling clients to obtain real-time information on the status and delivery of shipments 24 hours a day.

ROTRA LLC continues its privately-owned status and becomes co-founder of the ICOS Group. The ICOS partnership offers the services of worldwide offices and the experience of freight forwarding professionals around the globe able to meet the needs of clients regardless of location.

2004
ROTRA celebrates its 20th anniversary. A redesigned web site with enhanced features and functionality is unveiled to improve the flow of information to valued customers.

2005
ROTRA is more then ever opening doors in Asia. Compatibility and an endless commitment to superior customer service has proven to be the key to success in Asia.

ROTRA invests in a new and very efficient operation software

2006
ROTRA introduces the new Rotrack PUSH Tracking & Tracing with more features then ever before

2007
Rotra has now over 30 employees in Chicago and expends it's sales department and network world wide

2008
Rotra introduces our in-house tracking system ROTRACK PUSH "Personal Up-date System Handling". Our clients will get up to 5 shipment up-date along the way.

2009
Rotra is very proud to be 25 years in business and would like to thank all our clients and partners for all their support over the years.
